The deadline for applications for the Turing Scheme in the next academic year has now passed. We want to thank everyone who has made an application.

What happens next?

As part of the application assessment process, your application will undergo:

  • a formal eligibility and exclusion check to verify that application is compliant with the Turing Scheme rules
  • a financial capacity check
  • a qualitative assessment to evaluate the extent to which the application meets the Turing Scheme objectives, and the project meets the qualitative criteria.

The application will be assessed by external independent sector experts who will score all applications out of a possible 100 points.

We plan to write to all applicants at the end of June with the outcome their application. Organisations with successful applications will receive funding towards delivering placements. This will include providing participants with grants to help cover travel expenses and costs of living and Organisational Support funding towards delivering the projects.

If applications are not successful, there will be an opportunity to appeal. Appeals will need to be lodged within 10 days of the outcome being communicated. We will provide applicants with more information on the appeals process when communicating the outcome of their application.
